In the first quarter of 2024, Latin America's mobile health enthusiasts have been actively tracking their dietary habits with various iOS apps. According to Sensor Tower's data, we've observed some interesting trends among the top food and diet tracking applications in the region.
Fitia: Diet & Meal Planner showed a steady performance with downloads peaking at 23K in mid-March, while weekly active users hit a high of 59K in the same period. The revenue, however, saw a slight decrease, finishing the quarter at around 12K USD.
Calorie Counter by FatSecret experienced a consistent number of weekly active users, maintaining above 74K throughout the quarter. Downloads reached their highest at 22K in early January, and revenue showed a slight uptick towards the end of March, rounding off at about 4K USD.
YAZIO Calorie Counter & Diet maintained a strong user base with weekly active users starting at 145K and ending the quarter at 142K. Downloads saw a decline, dropping to 3K by late March. Revenue also reflected a downward trend, concluding at approximately 12K USD.
Kompanion Intermittent Fasting had a mixed quarter with a high of 44K downloads in the first week of January, but this figure had fallen to 3K by the end of March. Weekly active users showed more stability, starting at 114K and slightly decreasing to 85K. Revenue, however, decreased over the quarter, ending at about 6K USD.
Lastly, MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter remained a popular choice with the highest number of weekly active users among the apps, although it saw a decline from 549K to 437K. Downloads peaked at 18K in early January but fell to 6K by the quarter's end. Revenue trends were relatively stable, starting at 25K USD and slightly decreasing to 22K USD.
